Heritage Celebration Held February 22


Melfa, VA –Looking for something to do on a cold February weekend without having to drive too far?  The Eastern Shore Community College Foundation will host the 13th Annual Eastern Shore Heritage Celebration Saturday, February 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The day’s activities will include interesting lectures and live music performances provided the ESO Arts Center.  Local area artists and craftsmen will demonstrate their skill and many will have items available for sale.  The college student photography club, SNAP, will have a photography exhibit and therewill be food available for sale.

In addition several community organizations and non-profit groups will be sharing information about their programs and services:  Academy for Lifetime Learning, Barrier  Island Center,  Beekeepers Guild of the Eastern Shore,  Camp #2189 Sons of Confederate Veterans,  Cape Charles Historical Society,  ESCC Adult Basic Education, ESCC Alumni Association,  ESCC Archaeology, ESCC CADD Program,  ESCC Kid’s College,  ESCC Student Services,  ESCC Welding Program, Eastern Shore Literacy Council,  Eastern Shore Master Naturalists,  Eastern Shore Public Library Foundation, Eastern Shore Watermen’s Museum and Research Center,  NMA Federal Credit Union,  U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary Flotilla 12-02,  Waste Watchers of the Eastern Shore,  and Women’s Club of Onancock.
