UFIT Award for FSHN Staff Members Carmen Graham and C. J. Nieves
Congratulations to FSHN Staff Members Carmen Graham and C.J. Nieves
At the Fall UFIT Assembly, held December 10, 2013, Carmen and C.J. were recognized as members of the Winning Project Team: Human Subject Payment Program for the UFIT Award “Bringing out the Best: Collaboration, Innovation and Everyday Leadership.”
The University of Florida Information Technology Awards and Recognitions Program recognizes teams whose members: 1) bring out the best in each other, 2) serve customers with distinction, and 3) honor those who work behind the scenes to keep university systems running.
Carmen and C.J. were part of a team that developed and implemented a new module in the myUFL system to pay subjects who participate in human research/clinical trials. They have been engaged in the development of the project since Spring 2013 and participated in the project’s pilot program. This system changed the methods by which human subjects in UF research studies are compensated monetarily as well as the mechanisms that support these programs. The new system provides a flexible, secure and convenient way to pay participants while lowering costs to the University.
