Who Should Attend?
Prospective students who are enrolled in an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or have completed a DPD (with Verification Statement) who are interested in earning a Master of Science degree and completing an accredited Dietetic Internship program. Our program has a strong focus on nutritional sciences, medical nutrition theray and includes a concentration in nutrition education and wellness.
What Will You Do If You Attend?
Prospective students attending our open house will have the opportunity to attend a graduate course and meet with faculty, the Program Director, current students and program graduates. A tour of some parts of our beautiful campus and UF Health (Shands UF), a tertiary care center, also will be included.
All prospective students should plan to attend on the designated date, October 19, 2015. Open House will start at 8:15 AM and end at 4:30 PM. An itinerary will be sent to you when you RSVP for the event.
The University of Florida is located in Gainesville, Florida. Gainesville is located in north central Florida – north of Tampa and Orlando, south of Jacksonville. Students should meet at the Food Science and Human Nutrition building. A map of campus is available at http://campusmap.ufl.edu/. If you are flying in from out of town, Gainesville has a local airport.
What to Wear?
The weather in the fall can range from warm to chilly. Check the weather report for our area before you pack. We suggest business casual wear. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the campus walking tour.
