History Graduate Society Conference

The History Graduate Society invites you to the 2nd Annual Interdisciplinary Graduate Student Symposium. This year’s conference is entitled “Monsters and Myths in the Making,” and includes a collection of presentations on topics from Caribbean zombies to Gothic Literature to Greek Myths. The conference will take place on Saturday, April 21st, from 10:00 to 5:00 in Keene-Flint Hall. The keynote, by W. Scott Poole, Associate Professor of History at the College of Charleston, will be from 11:30-1:00 in Smathers 1A. The title of Poole’s talk is “Scary Bodies: How Monster Narratives Intersect with the Intimate History of America.” Click here for the conference program Monsters and Myths program.
