Pediatric Hospitalist Services at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital

Baby sleeping Open communication between the providers in the hospital and your child’s primary care doctor is critical in providing high-quality, streamlined care. Because hospitalists practice in the hospital, they are available to reevaluate a patient’s condition to ensure timely testing, treatment, and discharge. Your pediatric hospitalist is available during working hours and the on-call hospitalist is available after hours and can be reached with the assistance of your nurse or pediatric resident.

Our pediatric hospitalists are dedicated to providing the safest and best possible care to patients by serving as physician leaders in the hospital, educators for the pediatric residency training program and College of Medicine students, and researchers in the academic setting.
