E-Waste Displaysmall As technology rapidly expands and processes for manufacturing become cheaper and more efficient, it causes electronics to become obsolete or unwanted faster than ever before. Many of us have at least a handful of unused electronics at home, whether it’s an outdated cellphone, an old CRT monitor, a broken TV, or a non-functioning printer. These “e-waste” items, however, contain many harmful chemicals and components that can damage the environment if disposed of improperly. Some elements are even known carcinogens, which can cause significant harm to humans and animals.

Here are some local disposal/recycling resources for personal technology and electronic equipment:
