Hi! My name is Amber Allen Mulkey and I am the Coordinator of the Early Success Program (ESP). I also serve as the Director of Freshman Academic Programs at Clemson University. This is my fourth year working with ESP and it is my absolute favorite part! The summer is full of fun activities, making friends, and learning about Clemson. ESP has a great group of students and staff that always keep me on my toes! I graduated from Clemson in 2005 with my Masters in Education. I have worked as the Coordinator of Student Life for the Bridge to Clemson program and as a Resident Director at Georgia Tech.
I am married and have 3 year old twins, Ollie and Tillie. I love to bike and practice yoga regularly. I am a sugar junkie and my absolute favorite thing to do is read. Some authors I enjoy are Glennon Doyle Melton, Anne Lamott, and Barbara Brown. My favorite TV show is Modern Family. I look forward to getting to know you each individually over the course of the next year!
Emma Reynolds and I am from Darlington, South Carolina (Home of the Nascar track Too Tough To Tame!) I am a first-year Graduate Student here at Clemson, working with Freshman Academic Programs and the Early Success Program at Clemson University
Hey everyone! My name is Erin and I will be the new Graduate Assistant for Freshman Academic Programs starting in June ! I am so excited to start my journey at Clemson with all of you!
I graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington with my degree in psychology and my elementary education certificate. While there I learned to love coffee and college basketball! Go Zags!
I am originally from Bozeman, Montana where my mom and step dad live with my little sister Georgia who is my absolute favorite person! She is five years old and so much fun!
I love sports, reading, and have way too many pairs of shoes. And on any given day you could find me catching up on Grey's Anatomy, painting, or baking cookies. I can't wait to meet all of you and have a fun summer together!!
Hello! My name is Sarah Beth Potter, you are welcome to call me SBP or SB and I am the Graduate Intern for the Early Success Program for the upcoming summer. I also serve as the Graduate Assistant for Late Night Programming in Campus Activities & Events, acting as the main coordinator and point of contact for the late night programming series, U-NITES. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2014 with a BA in Journalism & Mass Communication with a focus in Public Relations. At UNC, I loved working for Housing & Residential Life. I was a Dramatic Art major for my first two years at UNC and though I changed majors, I never lost my love for theater and was a part of the student run theater organization Company Carolina. I moved to SC in July 2014 and just finished my first year in the Master of Student Affairs program. I have loved my first year and the wonderful people I have met here! I love coffee - any day, any time and deep conversations. I am a big fan of Myers-Briggs (ESFJ all the way!) and if you haven’t heard of it, don’t worry, you will very soon! I enjoy discovering new music and baking for my students. I am very excited to work with Freshman Academic Programs, especially the Early Success Program this summer and can’t wait to get to know you!
Bryce Conti and I am a rising sophomore Graphic Communications major, Clemson Univesrity, Clemson South Carolina
Hey y’all! My name is Bryce Conti, I am a rising junior Graphic Communications major, and will be one of the peer mentors this summer. I am from Greenville, South Carolina and I graduated from J.L. Mann High School where I was the editor of the yearbook and involved with many other organizations. I am the oldest of three kids, and both of my parents graduated from Clemson University. So I guess you can say my blood runs orange. Fun facts about me: I love Chick-fil-A (but who doesn’t), I’m addicted to Coca-Cola, and would talk to a wall if it would listen.
This will be my third summer with ESP, my second summer being a peer mentor, and I couldn’t be more excited! During my past two summers with ESP, I have had two unforgettable summers and made some of my best friends. After ESP you are able to walk around campus and at least know a few familiar faces, which made the transition much easier. I can't wait to meet and get to know all of you, and help make THIS your best summer yet! GO TIGERS!
Hi! My name is Connor Bosek and I am a rising sophomore Business Management major. I am so excited to be one of your peer mentors this summer! I am from Charlotte, North Carolina and I graduated from Charlotte Latin School while playing many sports throughout my high school career. I have one older sister who is on the swim team at James Madison University and have two awesome parents who both graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. A little bit about me is that I enjoy playing sports and being active. I will always be down for a pickup game of any sport. I play a little bit of video games, mainly FIFA and Madden, and my favorite type of food is Chicken Wings.
I was a part of ESP during the summer of 2014 and it was the best summer of my life, so far. Even though you do have to go to class it was still one of the best summers I have had. The best part about ESP was gaining a whole group of friends before the school year started, which made the transition much easier. My hope for you all is that you will have the same experience I did and have even better memories than I did. See you all in June and Go Tigers!
Hey Y’all! My name is Sydney Sill and I am a rising sophomore Communications shadow major, and I will be one of your peer mentors this summer. I am from Duncan, South Carolina and I graduated from James F. Byrnes High School where I was involved with student council, leadership and J.R.O.T.C. Outside of school I was involved with theatre and dance having been a dancer for 16 years. I was also involved with the Miss America Organization and served our state as Miss South Carolina Teen 2012. I was in the ESP program last year and let me just say it was the best summer of my life! I entered the program not knowing a single soul and left with 35 new friends! I grew up a being a Clemson Tiger fan which is why I was willing to do anything to go to Clemson. Let me just say ESP is well worth it!
Here at Clemson I am involved with FCA and Greek life being a part of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. I also had the honor of receiving the title of Miss Clemson University 2015 and look forward to representing our great institution. When I’m not dancing I am usually watching Netflix or online shopping because I am a true girl at heart. I’m obsessed with sushi, Chipotle and frozen yogurt, which is what you will find me eating 99.9% of the time. I am a super outgoing person with a passion to help people reach their dreams. I look forward to meeting you all and having an amazing summer!
Hi! My name is Lisa Emerson and I’ll be your Community Assistant this summer. I can’t wait to meet you all! I am a rising senior Biological Sciences major with a minor in Global Politics. My career goal is to get my MD and a PhD in Global Public Health. I’ve worked as a Resident Assistant for two years at Clemson and look forward to another year in 2015-2016! I’m from Conover, North Carolina, which is a tiny town an hour west of Charlotte.
My passion in life is dancing- especially swing dancing! I serve as the publicity officer of our Ballroom, Swing, and Shag club here at Clemson and adore teaching people how to swing. You’ll regularly find me watching Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, and One Tree Hill while eating peanut butter M&Ms. I also love to go on adventures around Clemson: backpacking, hiking, and napping in my hammock! My goal this summer is to acquire some epic Chaco tan lines. I’m looking forward to meeting you all and sharing the treasure that is Clemson University with you!
