2012 Student Holiday Message

Dear Students,

Many of you are aware of the recent death in the Clemson community of one of our own Clemson Tigers. For all of us, this is a tragic event and one that no doubt casts a shadow over the holiday spirit here on campus. I encourage you all to please be smart in your decisions, lock your doors and be safe in your remaining weeks at Clemson. If you need additional counseling or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our Dean of Students and/or CAPS at Redfern. We are here to help in any capacity necessary.

Each of you is the reason why Clemson is a top-25 school. Whether you are an engineering major, performing arts student, athlete or an international student, you represent a small piece Clemson’s dynamic and diverse student body. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah, or no specific holiday this month, we appreciate your individuality and the spirit you bring to campus. Without your hard work, the success of our programs would not be possible, and I cannot thank you enough.

For those of you graduating this month, I wish you the best as you move forward. To those returning in January, I’ll meet you back here in a few weeks for another great semester! Don’t forget to visit us on Facebook to stay in touch at www.facebook.com/clemsonstudentaffairs, and check out our holiday card to see all the great ways each of you is positively impacting the world.

Happy Holidays and thank you for all you do!

Gail A. DiSabatino

Vice President for Student Affairs
