American Red Cross Lifeguarding course sponsored by the Department of Campus Recreation.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Lifeguarding Training and First Aid certification as well as CPR/AED certification for the Professional Rescuer, all valid for 2 years.
Cost: $200 for university affiliates; $225 for others.
Payment for all certification courses in non-refundable.
Sign up at the welcome center desk in Fike Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Deadline to register is one week before the first date of the course.
Facilities Reserved: Lounge, Natatorium-Diving Tank, Natatorium-Lanes 1-3
Times Reserved: Mondays and Wednesdays 4:30–9:00 p.m.
Registration is available at the Welcome Center on the first floor of Fike Recreation Center. It is a first come, first serve basis. The participant must be able to pass a prerequisite swimming skills test on the first class meeting as well as be at least 15 years old by the date of the last session.
