Clemson Outdoor Recreation and Education (CORE) has many great opportunities for Clemson University students as both participants and leaders of our outdoor adventure trip program. All of our adventure trips are lead by Clemson University students who receive life-long leadership and communication skills through outdoor recreation trainings and adventure trip leading experience. CORE is always looking for friendly and responsible trip leaders who are enthusiastic about gaining valuable experiences through outdoor leadership opportunities.
The employees of CORE's trip leading program are organized into three successive positions: Volunteer, Trip Assistant, and Trip Leader. All students interested in working for CORE's adventure trip program must begin as a volunteers wishing to become Trip Leaders must follow the trip leader structure outlined below.

A Trip Leader must meet the following criteria to maintain the position of Trip Leader.
Selection of leaders' trip preferences is based on employees' experience, qualifications, relevant certifications, attendance at biweekly meetings, semester trainings, and general CORE involvement.
CORE holds interviews during one week at the end of each semester. Fill out the online Trip Leader Application below and contact the CORE office to submit times that are best for you to meet with the staff during the scheduled interview week. Please note the important dates listed below. All applicants are required to attend the Trip Leader Training Trip at the beginning of the semester.
