Visitor Parking Information

Visitors who bring cars to the Clemson University Campus must park their vehicles in accordance with the campus parking rules and regulations.  In order to simplify and improve the visitor parking experience here at Clemson University, Parking and Transportation Services has added more visitor parking spaces and upgraded its aging single space parking meters to offer more reliable, flexible, convenient parking options that include:

Short Term Paid Parking

Visitors may park at our solar powered Multi-Space “pay by space” metered pay stations with advantages like:

  • No Permit Required
  • Available 7 Days Week
  • Up to 3 Hours  of Visitor Time
  • Between the hours of 7am to 10pm
  • 5 different locations
  • Click Here for more information on how to find and use the meters

Simply, park your car in a metered location, note your space #, look for the “Pay Here” signs to locate the pay station and pay the meter for your space for up to 3 hours, take your receipt and be on your way.  All metered parking spaces are marked in the parking stall, i.e., “Metered 26”. When making your payment, you have the flexibility and convenience of multiple payment options that include; quarter, $1 dollar coin, $1 dollar bill, credit card and debit cards.  The parking meter rate is $1.00 per hour.

Long Term Permit Parking

Visitors who need to park on campus for longer than 3 hours may obtain “Visitor” parking permits. Visitor permits may allow for additional parking privileges and parking in varying locations.  Therefore, visitors must comply with the rules on the reverse side of the permit.

Long term parking permits can be picked up between 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at Parking and Transportation Services, G01 Edgar Brown Union, 864-656-2270

After hours permits may be picked up from Clemson University Police Department, Memorial Stadium on Centennial Blvd (864-656-2222). More Visitor Parking Permit information can be found on this site under Parking Permits.

For additional parking information, email parking@clemson.edu or call 864-656-2270.

Accessible Parking

Disability Access Parking is available in various campus locations, indicated by blue stripes on the pavement and the international symbol on the pavement and sign. A valid state-issued disability access parking permit must be displayed in addition to the employee, student, visitor or vendor parking permit. To allow time to obtain a state-issued permit, a University-issued permit is available for a maximum of four weeks by providing a copy of the state application form, signed by a doctor. University-issued permits are not valid in off-campus disability access spaces.
