Clemson’s new facility at ONE provides an ideal location for all of the College of Business and Behavioral Science’s graduate-level business programs and centers. Downtown Greenville is a nexus of business activity, and each of the entities making their home at ONE enhances and supports one or more facets of this thriving business community.
Clemson’s MBA Program, which includes both full and part-time students in the traditional program as well as the MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation cohort, is the largest group with over 360 students. In May 2014, the part-time MBAe will deliver a blended online/weekend version of the program to students within a three-hour drive of Greenville, increasing our reach tremendously. Graduate level students in Management, Marketing, Accountancy & Finance, and the Master of Real Estate Development program are also based at ONE. There are currently over 460 students across five programs benifiting from the enhanced educational opportunities provided in this first-rate facility, and we expect enrollment numbers to continue to grow annually.
The mission of the Arthur M. Spiro Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership is to support educational, research and outreach programs that promote entrepreneurial activity and economic development of the region, state and nation. The focus is on wealth creation through entrepreneurial activity. The Spiro Institute hosts the popular First Friday Speaker Series, which provides a venue for an executive or business leader to share his or her experiences with students in the programs as well as the general public. Spiro also hosts business competitions such as SC Launch and offers the SEED program which provides valuable education to budding entrepreneurs.
Clemson University's Center for Corporate Learning has been providing professional education and customized training programs for over 50 years. The Center for Corporate Learning brings together Clemson's expert instructors and thought leaders along with industry experts from across the nation to create dynamic executive education and professional development. They host the annual Leadership Summit as well as numerous certificate programs including Lean Six Sigma, Project Management and continuing education for Engineers and other professionals. They also create custom training programs for any industry and deliver the coursework on site or in our facility at ONE.
The Frank L. Roddey Small Business Development Center of South Carolina is a consortium of four universities and operates a state office and 15 area centers throughout the state. They offer a variety of confidential services and management training courses tailored to meet the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses. SBDC consultants provide management and technical assistance to business owners and work with the banking industry, economic development offices and chambers of commerce to grow new and existing businesses for the economic prosperity of the state.
The programs and centers at ONE have a varied and far-reaching impact on the community and region. The facility is buzzing with activity, hosting monthly and annual events, many of which are open to the general public. It is also home to an incubator space for entrepreneurs and an array of event and meeting spaces available for rent to other businesses or individuals.
