Markvan Bellamy Brooks Endowed Scholarship

The purpose of the Markvan Bellamy Brooks Endowed Scholarship fund is to provide up to 3 undergraduate scholarships to students who major in curricula related to the Brooks Institute for Sports Science: sports management, sports communication, sports marketing and motorsports engineering.

The Brooks Institute will select up to three students annually for a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each, which will be equally divided between the fall and spring semesters. The selection will be made in conjunction with Financial Aid to determine if the student is enrolled and meets all requirements. The student must obtain a GPA of 2.5 or above and be enrolled as a full-time student.

Interested students should submit a cover letter, resume, application form and two recommendation letters to Dr. Robert Prucka, Assistant Professor, Department of Automotive Engineering. Typically, scholarship applications are due in March of each year.

Frank H. Slocum, Jr. Endowed Scholarship in Motorsports and Automotive Studies

The purpose of the Frank H. Slocum, Jr. Endowed Scholarship fund is to provide scholarship opportunities for out-of-state undergraduate students who have completed their sophomore year and who have selected a major related to a career in Motorsports and Automotive Studies in conjunction with the Brooks Institute for Sports Science.

The Brooks Institute will select one student for the scholarship in the amount of $2,000, which will be equally divided between the fall and spring semesters. The selection will be made in conjunction with Financial Aid to determine if the student meets all requirements. The student must obtain a GPR of 2.5 or above and be enrolled as a full-time student.

Interested students should submit a cover letter, resume, application form and two recommendation letters to Robert Prucka, Administrative Coordinator, Clemson University Office for Research & Economic Development. Typically, scholarship applications are due in March of each year.
