Students will live and work with a group of their peers. Life skills will be taught during formal instruction time, as well as learned through day-to-day interactions with fellow students, mentors and job coaches.
Students will experience group living. In an environment where they will be sharing their space and responsibilities, they will have opportunities to learn skills in homemaking and caring for their belongings.
Training and programs will be offered including agriculture, landscaping, building/carpentry, housekeeping, food service and hospitality.
Students will practice principles such as measurement, writing skills, and science. Opportunities for functional learning will be present in this living learning community.
