The College of Business and Behavioral Science offers several undergraduate courses in entrepreneurial leadership that are open to students from all disciplines. Students may choose to study entrepreneurship as a minor, an area of emphasis or a series of electives.
Recently, the Spiro Institute has also helped pioneer a new MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The Clemson MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation is designed to help you jump start your venture from concept to company in just one year. Our program provides the strong foundation in business education you will need to create a successful business coupled with the unparalleled Clemson network to support you every step of the way.
MARKET-READY IN ONE YEAR
Students refine and rework their concepts throughout the year and will graduate with a market-ready business plan. The program culminates with a three-city Investor Road Show in which students pitch their ideas to investors to compete for start-up funding.
Most classes are team-taught by Clemson professors and successful entrepreneurs and business leaders who illustrate real-life examples of how to put business concepts into action. Students learn about accounting fundamentals, term sheet financing, legal structure, rapid prototyping, marketing, and business management skills and are given the tools to apply these lessons to their own ventures.
PERSONALIZED MENTORING AND NETWORKING
Clemson has recruited a community of nearly 100 mentors who act as work and life coaches for the students. Each student will have several of these entrepreneurs serving as their board of advisors throughout the program, and may have access to other entrepreneurs in the network on an appointment basis.
ENTREPRENEURIAL NETWORK of CLEMSON (ENC)
Clemson has created an online network of Clemson-associated entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurial Network of Clemson (ENC). On this site, entrepreneurs and students can interact, share their ideas, ask questions and receive feedback through forums and blogs. The ENC is an easy way to connect with Clemson’s network of entrepreneurs around the world.
