The Lean Council, External Advisory Board, and Internal Advisory Board are groups of selected individuals whose purpose is to support and direct Lean project teams. The members of these groups are selected by the Lean Office based on past experience with process improvement and Lean programs.
This small group of individuals assists the Lean Office by identifying high priority improvement projects and acting as Lean advisors on campus. The Lean Office is continuously expanding the Lean Council. We are working towards having both staff and faculty representatives from every Division/College.
Lean Council Members:
The Lean Internal Advisory Board will provide guidance for the Lean Office and the Lean Council. The Internal Board consists of Clemson University employees who are knowledgeable about Lean principles and practices. Members of this board assist with discovery and implementation efforts.
Internal Advisory Board Members:
The Lean External Advisory Board will consist of leaders from the Upstate area who possess extensive knowledge about and experience with Lean principles, practices and tools. Board members will serve as advisors to and resources for the Lean Office for specific projects. Finally, they will provide guidance on developing a Lean culture at Clemson University. The external advisory board is still in the process of being formed. If you are interested in being a part of the Lean Council, the Internal Advisory Board, or the External Advisory Board, please contact Lisa Knox.
