Field Experience, School of Education student working in classroom
Meaningful and quality field and clinical practice experiences are essential to candidate preparation. The Eugene T. Moore School of Education is committed to providing a range of diverse field and clinical experiences appropriate for the discipline in which candidates are prepared for careers in teaching, school leadership, student affairs, and community and agency counseling.
The Office of Field Experiences coordinates placements for candidates in our teacher preparation programs. Placements for school counseling, school leadership, student affairs, and clinical/mental health counseling are coordinated within each program area.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlines relevant policies and current operational procedures between the Clemson University Eugene T. Moore School of Education and the School Districts providing field experiences and internships for our students in the Teacher Education Program, the School Counselor Education Program and the Administration and Supervision Program. The parties represented in the MOU are the Office of Field Experiences, the District/School Level Administrator, the University Supervisor/Liaison, the School Site Mentor and the School of Education Candidate.
