LiveText

The School of Education utilizes LiveText, a web‐based candidate (student) performance assessment data collection and reporting system ( www.livetext.com). We collect candidate performance data annually for identifying programmatic strengths and areas for program improvement. In addition, we report aggregated data on overall performance to our national accreditation agencies.

Undergraduate education program candidates are required to make the one-time purchase of LiveText in their first education course, ED 1050-Orientation to Education, and upload assignments to LiveText. In subsequent courses throughout the program, candidates are required to upload assignments to LiveText. Graduate students enrolled in an MAT program, or the Clinical/Mental Health or School Counseling, Literacy, Administration & Supervision programs are also required to make the one-time purchase of LiveText to upload key assignments.

Candidates may view assessment scores assigned by instructors in LiveText. In the event the score is given from test or exam candidates may not be able to upload anything. At the graduate level many assessments are not tied directly to courses. An advisor, committee chair or others are responsible for entering scores in LiveText.

Candidates with concerns about LiveText scores may address concerns with the instructor first. If a candidate then wishes to file a complaint, contact the Director of Assessment & Accreditation ( mevtt@clemson.edu). Any other questions regarding LiveText can be directed to Michalann Evatt, Assessment and Accreditation Director, Eugene T. Moore School of Education.
