Nearly one-third of your life is spent playing. Recreational activities are just as necessary as sleeping or eating. Students in the parks, recreation, and tourism managemen department study fun. They learn how to manage recreational activities, take an active role in the environment, and preform scientific studies on tourism and the effects on a local, regional, and national economy.  This is only a portion of the skill sets you will learn in this department.
