orange open door icon Group study and meeting rooms are available on the 1st and 2nd floors of Cooper Library. Priority for use of these rooms is for groups of 2 or more people. Study and meeting rooms are not provided for, nor intended to take the place of classroom or departmental meeting space.
brown pause button icon Only Clemson students, faculty, and staff with a valid Clemson email address and ID can reserve study and meeting rooms. Room reservations for all study rooms are accepted up to two weeks in advance and must be made at least 2 hours in advance. Reservations are for a maximum of two hours and are limited to one reservation per day.
Confirmation of reservation will be sent via email and should be used as proof of valid reservation. You receive a link to confirm your reservation. You must click on the link within 30 minutes to confirm the reservation. Failure to click on the link provided will result in your reservation being denied.
Group study room users without reservations must vacate the room when requested by a group with proof of valid reservation.
books icon Personal materials and library books may NOT be left unattended in the group study rooms while users are in class or away for extended periods of time. Materials and personal items left unattended will be removed. Library books that are not checked out will be returned to the shelves.
green ear icon Color-coded study zones have been established for every floor. See posted maps on each floor for zone locations. Red = silent (no talking); yellow = quiet (whispered conversations); green = collaborative (talking quietly). Patrons are asked to be considerate of others and follow the guidelines for the zones. Staff and security will monitor noise levels and respond to problems appropriately. In severe cases, the Clemson University Police Department will be called to assist.
column icon Located in Lee Hall, Gunnin's room 2-112D is not currently eligible for online booking. Fear not! You can reserve it anytime Gunnin is open by calling (864)656-3933.
exclamation mark icon Be sure to keep the door closed when your group is in a room. If the door is open, your conversation can drift out into the silent zones and disturb others trying to study.
