Tuition for this course is $950.
This all day program will introduce rising 7th -12th grade students to physical computing through exploring hardware and software level design and programming. Students will have the opportunity to design and build a 2D video game and game controller. In particular, students will learn Arduino and Game programming and prototype design in a hands-on interactive format. The program will be offered twice during the summer:
Module 1 - rising 7th - 9th grade students (This course is offered during Session 2 (June 15th, 2014 — June 21st, 2014). Click here to view the schedule.)
Module 2 - rising 10th-12th graders which will be instructed with an increased level of difficulty (This course is offered during Session 5 (July 13th, 2014 — July 19th, 2014). Click here to view the schedule.)
Students that participate in this camp will learn the following:
- Circuit design (inc. soldering for older students)
- Game concept storyboarding
- Game algorithm design for their game
- Circuit troubleshooting techniques and code debugging
- Arduino and Game Maker programming
