Academic Excellence Challenge - AEC
This student activity was incorporated by the Kansas State Department of Education to showcase quality teaching and learning at the community college level. AEC is similar to College Bowl or high school High-Q.
Highlights: In the fall and spring semesters students participate in scrimmages and regional and state competitions with other community colleges in Kansas. At the state competitions, student teams have the opportunity to win from $500 to $1,500.
Credits: Students are eligible for two years participation and receive a maximum of two hours independent study. These hours apply toward graduation credit.
Scholarship Requirements:
Scholarship covers tuition and books
Students who are interested in and have the ability to recall large amounts of information on subjects including mathematics, humanities, natural and social sciences can participate.
