Volleyball defeats Allen to remain unbeaten in the conference
The No. 6-ranked Cowley College volleyball team had no trouble getting past Allen Community College Wednesday in Iola. The Lady Tigers cruised to 25-16, 25-11 wins of the first two sets before holding on for a 26-24 win of the third set. read more

Cowley to host Wooden Racquet Tennis Tournament
Cowley College will host an Open Doubles Wooden Racquet Tennis Tournament Saturday, October 24 at 9 a.m. at the Louderback Family Tennis Courts in Arkansas City. read more

Cowley representatives take part in Reality U events
Reality U event Providing 525 sophomores’ meaningful exposure to real world decision-making and financial realities, Communities in Schools recently hosted a pair of Reality U events.
The event, which was coordinated by Cowley First, was held Tuesday, October 6 at Winfield High School and Wednesday, October 7 at Arkansas City High School. read more

The Cowley College cross country teams got an opportunity to see what awaits them at the Region VI/Jayhawk Conference Championships when they ran the course during the Johnson County Cavalier Classic Friday in Overland Park, KS. read more

soccer The Cowley College women’s soccer team took advantage of a short-handed Neosho County squad Tuesday in Arkansas City as the Lady Tigers crushed the Lady Panthers 6-0. read more

Benefit dinner to support food packaging event
Students in Cowley College’s ACES (Academic Civic Engagement through Service), with the help of the Ark City Optimist Club, will conduct a benefit Pulled Pork Dinner on Wednesday, October 14. read more

Union State Bank completes $50,000 gift to Travis Hafner Training Center Ben Schears, John Sturd, Dr. Rittle
When the Travis Hafner Training Center campaign began in 2011 Union State Bank (USB) was one of the first organizations to pledge financial support. USB recently made its final $10,000 contribution on its $50,000 gift to mark the end of its financial commitments to that capital campaign. Their pledge secured the naming rights to the Travis Hafner Training Center’s weight room. read more

Education Program hosts science workshops workshop
The Cowley College Education Program and Director of Education, Julie Rhoads, hosted science workshops sponsored by the Kansas Strong Organization on Saturday, October 3rd. This organization is part of the Kansas Gas and Oil initiative to support science education in Kansas schools. read more

candidates After four days of online voting, the following five women were selected by Cowley College students, faculty, staff, and administration as finalists for Queen Alalah LXXXIV, to be crowned during the annual Coronation at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30. read more
Caroline Fulbright The honors keep rolling in for Caroline Fulbright
First there was being named Cowley College’s “Ambassador of the Year”, then she became the first-ever recipient of the V.J. Wilkins Endowed Theatre Internship, and now Caroline Fulbright can add being named the school’s October Student of the Month to her list of accomplishments. read more

Tiger tennis team wins pair of road matches
The Cowley College Men's Tennis Team traveled to Emporia, KS to take on NCAA Division II Emporia State University and NAIA school Baker University. The Tigers had a very good day defeating both opponents leveling their dual match record for the Fall Season. read more

Cowley to host DodgeBallalah Oct. 29
dodgeball Cowley College is hosting the second annual Arkalalah Dodgeball Tournament, DodgeBallalah, on Thursday, Oct. 29 inside W.S. Scott Auditorium.

The family-friendly event begins at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. Spectators and fans are admitted free and are welcome to show their team spirit. read more
