Homecoming Week The highlights of Homecoming Spirit Week are:

  • Feb. 7-10 - Spirit Week Competitive Events
  • Feb. 10 - Coronation of the Homecoming Queen and King, will take place at the halftime of the men's basketball game against Coffeyville that starts at 7:30 pm.
  • Feb. 10 - The Homcoming Dance will be held immediately following the game. read more

Banged up Tiger track and field team competes at Missouri Southern
The Cowley College track and field teams competed at the Missouri Southern University Lion Invitational Feb. 5-6 in Joplin, MO. The Tigers had several good performances but also had some athletes suffer injury at the meet. read more

Softball has tough time at Cowtown Classic
Opening its season at the always challenging Cowtown Classic Friday and Saturday in Fort Worth, TX, the Cowley College softball team finished the tournament with a record of 1-4.  The Lady Tigers will return to action Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. when they host a doubleheader against Seminole State College. read more

Tiger tennis team opens with win at Newman University
The Cowley College men's tennis team traveled to Wichita to take on the No. 34-ranked Newman University Jets on Friday, February 5. The Tigers coming off their success in the fall fought through early nerves and secured a solid 7-2 win.
Cowley's top player, Vincent Reynaud, clinched the match for the Tigers in a tough three set victory over Alejandro Gonzalez 7-6(7), 2-6, 10-8 at the No. 1 singles spot.  read more

Lady Tigers reach 20-win plateau for 10th consecutive season
Continuing the success the program has sustained since Todd Clark took over as head coach of the Cowley College women’s basketball team 12 seasons ago, the Lady Tigers reached 20 wins in a season for the 10th straight year during an 88-55 win at Neosho County on Saturday.
The victory improves Cowley’s record to 20-6 overall. The Lady Tigers are currently in fourth place in the Jayhawk Conference with a conference mark of 11-4.  read more

Women’s tennis drops opener at Newman, 5-4

Opening its season at NCAA Division II Newman University Friday in Wichita, KS, the No. 7-ranked Cowley College women’s tennis team came up just short in a 5-4 loss.

The Lady Tigers won three of six singles matches and nearly won more before losing a pair of 10-point tiebreakers. read more

Cowley's Education program is sponsoring Math & Science Workshops on March 26

The Education Program at Cowley College is hosting Math & Science Workshops at the Mulvane Center on March 26, 2016 from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Kansas Strong Organization, which is an educational resource of the Kansas Gas and Oil Industry, will be offering workshops for any educator licensed through KSDE. This semester’s workshops will focus on 6-12 Math and Science. read more

Winners of Graphic Design Contest Announced!

Logo Design Winners Mile Marker Review, Cowley College's own literary and art journal, recently announced the winners of a graphic design contest to select new logos for the club, Creative Claws, and the Creative Writing program. read more

Cowley College named as one of top-150 in the country
Aspen Prize Highlighting the critical importance of improving student success in America’s community colleges, the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program recently named Cowley College as one of the nation’s top 150 community colleges.
The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program is the nation’s signature recognition of high achievement and performance among America’s community colleges and recognizes institutions for exceptional student outcomes in four areas: student learning, certificate and degree completion, employment and earnings, and access and success for minority and low-income students. read more

Cowley College awards scholarships to students from 28 schools
The Student Services Department at Cowley College has awarded scholarships to students from Ark City Christian Academy, Arkansas City High School, Belle Plaine High School, Bishop Carroll High School , Blue Stem, Cedar Vale, Clearwater, Columbus Unified High School, Douglass, Elk Valley, Home School, Lakin, Manhattan, Mulvane, Newkirk (OK) High School, Oxford, Praise Valley Christian, Preston Trails Academy, Salina Central, Sedgwick, South Haven, Syracuse, Wellington, West Elk, Wichita East, Wichita Southeast, Wichita North, and Winfield High School. read more

Finalists for Cowley Homecoming royalty announced

HC Court
Five women and five men have been chosen as finalists for Homecoming queen and king at Cowley College.

Crowning of this year’s queen and king will take place at halftime of the men’s basketball game vs. Coffeyville on Feb. 10. The men’s game begins at 7:30 p.m. The Homecoming Dance will follow in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. read more

Singing Valengrams offered for Valentine’s Day, Feb. 12
Valengram With Valentine’s Day approaching, send that special someone a uniquely personal gift by getting the Cowley College Singers to deliver a Singing Valengram. For just $20 the Cowley College Singers will deliver one song, one carnation and a personalized valentine’s card. For just $5 more they will throw in an extra song. read more

Arts & Humanities Day set for February 17

Arts & Humanities Day High School students interested in the arts should plan to attend Cowley College’s Arts & Humanities Day held on the school’s main campus in Arkansas City on Wednesday, February 17. read more

Go Big or Go Home event planned at Cowle Go Big y College
As part of a state-wide effort for college coaches to challenge members of the community to step-up and become a BIG, Cowley College has three events planned for individuals involved in Cowley County's Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

All Bigs, Littles and their families have the opportunity to be admitted free to the Tiger women's and men's basketball games vs. Allen Community College on Saturday, Feb. 13, and the Littles can participate at no charge in either the Cowley College Cheer/Dance clinic or Basketball clinic from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at W.S. Scott Auditorium. read more
