Cowley to hold informational meetings on Single Parent Scholarship Program
Cowley College is offering single parents an opportunity to improve their lives through education, mentoring, and professional advising, as they will offer a Single Parent Scholarship Program.
A pair of informational meetings will be held to discuss the program. The first meeting will take place in Arkansas City at 7 p.m. April 26 in the Brown Center’s Wright Room.
The second meeting will be held at 7 p.m. May 3 at Wichita’s Southside Education Center.
Free financial aid counseling will be provided at the end of the meetings to those who bring copies of their 2005 tax returns. Financial aid assistance will also be available at later times for those who do not bring their 2005 tax returns.
Participants in the program will receive scholarships to help pay for their tuition, and will be able to attend class on Wednesday’s from 4 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
