PTK members help with Habitat for Humanity project

PTK
Eight members of Cowley College’s Phi Theta Kappa from Cowley's North Campuses got together on Friday to work on two houses being built by Habitat for Humanity in Wichita.

Since its founding in 1976, Habitat for Humanity International has built and rehabilitated more than 250,000 houses, sheltering more than one million people in more than 3,000 communities worldwide, becoming a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing. This is the second consecutive spring that Cowley's Phi Theta Kappa has volunteered to help with a Habitat house.

Vice President of Scholarship, Keoki Waipa, organized the service project and the group worked various hours and jobs throughout the day. Members volunteering were Keoki Waipa, Tara Cunningham, Wendy Schmidt, Melissa McCutcheon, Amy Williams, Casey Bing, Alex Wise and Melanie Montoya.
