Career Assessment

http://www.act.org/discover/login  Discover is the first tool we use to help students narrow their career choices.  It is an online career exploration program that includes an interest, ability and values assessment.  It also offers extensive occupational, college/university, and job search information.  Cowley students may contact the library to inquire about career resources and to obtain an ID number to use Discover.

Learning Express Learning Centers (elementary through college levels) plus computer skills, GED and new workplace skills training. Looking to land a job? The Job and Career Accelerator will identify strengths and weaknesses, help with resume writing, and even monitor postings on job boards.

The Career Clusters Interest Survey is a career guidance tool that allows individuals to respond to questions and identify the top three Career Clusters of interest based on their responses. This pencil/paper survey takes about fifteen minutes to complete. The survey can be printed out -- it is not electronic. It many be used for educational purposes only.

Career Zone is the place to learn about your skills and talents and to explore careers.  It offers a short assessment to determine your Holland Code and matches your code to a list of occupations.

At MyFuture.com you can take the 60-question Work Interest Quiz to find out your work style (Holland Code).  You will be given a list of occupations that people with your work style may enjoy.
