About Emergency Management

The University of Florida Emergency Management program is tasked with creating a culture of emergency preparedness and response across the University. The program is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive, all-hazards approach through all cycles of an emergency – preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.

Florida Board of Governors Regulation 3.001 requires the development and maintenance of an emergency management program and Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan for the University.

In addition to University-wide efforts, the Emergency Management program is available to provide guidance for departments and colleges developing and improving their emergency plans.
