ABA 509 Standard
The American Bar Association requires law schools to comply with Standard 509, which concerns accurate consumer information distribution to current and potential law students.
Though this information may be found throughout the site, placed conveniently where it would be most helpful to current or prospective students, we have created this page for the purpose of having a singular place to find Standard 509 compliant information.
Items of General Consumer Information
The ABA-LSAC Official Guide to ABA-Approved Law Schools contains general consumer information similar to the information required by ABA 509(b). This PDF contains statistics on the fall 2012 entering class data, total J.D. enrollment data for the 2012-13 academic year, bar passage for first-time test-takers during the 2011 calendar year, and attrition and grant/scholarship data for the 2011-12 academic year.

*The GPA necessary for renewal for conditional scholarships was lowered to 2.8 effective with the entering class of 2012. For the 2011 entering class, this would have increased the renewal percentage from 78.9% to 94.1%. In 2013, the standard for renewal will be the “in good standing” standard. For the 2011 entering class, this would increase the renewal percentage to 98.5%. In 2012, there is 1 scholarship for a matriculating student funded by an endowment with respect to which the Gift Agreement sets a renewal standard of 3.0. Scholarships from this endowment are also included in the totals above for 2010 and 2011.
