Summer Externship Applications

Federal and State Appellate judges participating in the UF Law Externship Program have requested to receive summer applications no later than December 31. Most judges prefer students to mail applications directly to the court. Several courts have alternate application preferences. See the appropriate Federal and Appellate Court Judges List documents below for individual judge’s instructions.

Cover Letters — Using Mail Merge

Creating a cover letter in Microsoft Word and merging your letters with the information in the Excel spreadsheets is a very simple task. This can save a lot of time as well as assure that you are using the most up to date judicial information. As always, your cover letter is vitally important as it is your introduction to the judge. Check your cover letters carefully to ensure that they are error free.
