Fees & Expenses

Residents* will pay a total of $5,000.00 for the program, partially through the student’s account with the University Bursar, and partially to the UF International Center (UFIC). The University Bursar will assess regular semester per credit hour tuition and fee charges for this 5 credit program totaling $3485.50; in addition, the UFIC will assess for an additional program fee of $1,514.50.

* A Resident is defined for the purpose of this program as a Florida resident or a student enrolled at any SEC school, including UF.

Non-Florida Residents who attend a school outside of the SEC will pay a total of $7,767.45 for the program, partially through the student’s account with the University Bursar, and partially to the UF International Center (UFIC). The University Bursar will assess regular semester per credit hour tuition and fee charges for this 5 credit program totaling $6,252.95; in addition, the UFIC will assess for an additional program fee of $1,514.50.

TOTAL Non-Resident charges – $7,767.45

The details of associated costs, like books and materials, transportation, housing, and personal costs, are listed in the budget below.

Housing is a student’s responsibility. Please make such arrangements immediately upon acceptance. Housing information will be provided. Students with physical disabilities or seeking special accommodations should notify Michelle Ocepek at once. UF will attempt to make reasonable arrangements, where possible.

Travel to Costa Rica is the responsibility of students. All participants must have passports.

All students who participate in a UF sponsored program will be enrolled in CISI, for the dates of the program. The insurance premium is billed as part of the UFIC charges.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

The $150 deposit to the UF International Center (UFIC) is non-refundable. The University of Florida reserves the right to alter or cancel the program should circumstances warrant. Refunds will be made in the event of cancellation.
