The Paris/Montpellier program is designed to fulfill ABA requirements and allows students to enroll for six credit hours. Any credit or grade for a summer program course is subject to determination by the participant’s home institution.
Admission is open to all law students enrolled in ABA-accredited law schools who have completed their first year of legal study and are in good academic standing. Non-UF law students must provide letters of good standing from the applicant’s law school when applying to the program. For transfer of credits, students engaging in foreign study must have completed their first full year, or its part-time equivalent, at an ABA-approved law school.
In 2014, there were 22 UF students and five students from other ABA-approved law schools. There were also 28 students from the University of Montpellier who participated in the program.
In 2015, the program will admit up to 30 students, both from UF and other ABA-approved law schools. We also expect approximately 20-30 Montpellier law students in the program.
