2014 Graduating Class Gift
Co-Chairs: Stephanie Generotti and Brock Hankins
Thank you for considering a donation to the 2014 Graduating Class Gift.
We hope the information below will help you make the decision to support your law school. You are about to join a very distinguished group of alumni. We hope you will be proud to call yourself a UF Law graduate and to tell others that you are already supporting your alma mater. The Graduating Class Gift is an important tradition at UF Law. Classes’ gifts have helped build the College into one of the best law school’s in the country. Your gift will ensure that future students will have the same and even better opportunities that you have had.
Any gift made by graduating students between July 1, 2013 and May 16, 2014 (Commencement) will count toward the 2014 Graduating Class Gift.
Have questions about your gift?
Where does my gift go?
Your gift goes where you want it to! 100% of your gift goes to the law school and you can even restrict it to a specific student organization if you’d like. The Dean uses gifts to the Annual Fund at his discretion, helping enhance the law school experience for everyone. Examples of areas where Annual Fund dollars have been spent in the past include Career Services workshops and conferences, bringing international scholars to campus to teach, funding for scholarships and fellowships, and support for co-curricular organizations. We encourage unrestricted giving – it supports the greatest needs of the college.
How much should I give?
You can give as much or as little as you want. The goal of the Graduating Class Gift campaign is to achieve 100% participation. Every gift will make a difference to the law school and present and future students – the important thing is that you give something! Gifts of $100, $250, and $500 are encouraged.
Why does it matter if I give?
There are many reasons why your gift matters. First and foremost, those who came before you support the law school each year so that you can have the best legal education possible. Now is your chance to do the same for those who will come after you. Second, the value of your degree will only increase as the Levin College of Law continues to move up in the rankings and become an even greater place. So you are really giving back to yourself as much as you are to the law school. Lastly, without the support of our alumni, the law school could not offer the legal education and unique experience only found at UF Law.
Please give now to the 2014 Graduating Class Gift! Your contribution will help your law school continue to grow its reputation, benefiting all who have attended and all who will attend UF Law.
After contributing your gift, please consider making a pledge to the College. A pledge of up to five years demonstrates your dedication to UF Law and to its future students.
Thank you for your support.
