Omri Y. Marian
Assistant Professor of Law

Marian and Professor Yariv Brauner submitted the U.S. Report to a seminar titled, “Departures From the OECD MC and Commentaries in EU Law and Tax Treaties,” held in Milan, Italy, on Nov. 25. Marian attended the seminar, which was hosted by the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore under the Aegis of the Italian Council of Ministers and the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The repost will be a chapter in a forthcoming book published by the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD).

Marian’s recent paper, “Jurisdiction to Tax Corporations” 54 B. C. L. Rev 1613 (2013) was reviewed in the journal Jotwell“Once a U.S. Corporation, Always a U.S. Corporation …” Jotwell.

From the review:

“[The] article provides one of the first modern realistic avenues out of a perennial problem in the international tax literature.  Even if it is not the first do so, challenging long-held assumptions and recasting them in a way to move the debate forward provides a significant contribution to any field. Prof. Marian accomplishes precisely this.”
