Friel Named Associate Dean For Academic Affairs

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida Law School Dean Jon Mills has appointed Graduate Tax Law Program Director and Professor Michael Friel as associate dean for academic affairs.

A member of the UF law faculty since 1987, Friel succeeds Michael Siegel, who served in the position for more than two years and has returned to research and teaching at the law school.

Friel has directed the nationally recognized UF tax law program since 1988, and previously taught law at New York University and Willamette Law School.

Friel earned his J.D. from Harvard University and his LL.M. from New York University.
