All extracurricular organizations within the law school are the responsibility of the Law College Council, except for the John Marshall Bar Association. The Law College Council funds and coordinates the activities of the law school’s extracurricular organizations. The Florida ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Team was founded in 2011 at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and is now a co-curricular organization dedicated to improving students’ practical skills in negotiation.
The student-edited Florida Journal of International Law publishes scholarly works with a global perspective by students, professors and practitioners on public and private international law topics.
The student-edited Florida Law Review contains articles by legal scholars expert in various areas of the law, and works by student members.
The Florida Moot Court Team, governed by the Justice Campbell Thornal Executive Board, which is named in honor of the late Florida Supreme Court justice and devoted alumnus, participates in intramural, state and national appellate competitions.
The Florida Tax Moot Court Team competes in intramural state and national appellate competitions with a focus on tax and other issues.
Student participants compete annually against law schools from throughout the world in the Willem C. Vis International contest held each spring.
The only inter-disciplinary law journal, the Journal of Law & Public Policy is devoted to considering the public policy implications of legal issues. This student-edited journal is published three times per year.
The Journal seeks to publish articles that focus upon the legal and policy aspects of various technology issues. The Journal is an extracurricular journal published up to twice yearly.
The Trial Team competes in intramural state, regional and national competitions organized by individuals, groups and law firms.
