Graduating Magna/Summa Cum Laude

Students with a 3.8 or above or 3.5 or above upper-division gpa are eligible to graduate summa cum laude or magna cum laude respectively. Forms may be found on the engineering website under information regarding Graduating with Honors

All forms are due to the Academic Services Office, 108 Rhines Hall, approximately one week prior to the end of classes for the term.

Undergraduate Minor

Are there forms which need to be signed?

Yes, there are forms which will need to be signed. It is appropriate for you to obtain a signature from your home department on the minor form prior to coming to see us. The link to the form is below:

How do I apply?

You will need to obtain a signature from your department to add the minor and then come into our Academic Services Office, 108 Rhines Hall. We will give you some background on the minor and then refer you to see Dr. Fuchs. He will assist you in choosing courses in our curriculum which will complement your BS degree.

Requirements for Minor

The minor consists of 15 credit hours of EMA courses; EMA3010 for three hours is required. The other courses will be determined by Dr. Fuchs and you to complement your BS degree.
