Through programs, resources, services and activities the Institute fosters a nurturing, supportive and welcoming environment focused on students of African origin.

50 Years Forward
Northeastern University is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act, 45th anniversary of the John D. O'Bryant African-American Institute and the 40th anniversary of the Department of African American Studies by hosting a series of related events and activities beginning in September, building excitement throughout the fall semester, and culminating with the Black history month activities in February and March.
