The University Honors Program at Northeastern offers exceptionally motivated students an opportunity to elevate their educational experience through deeper academic exploration, a higher level of engagement with faculty, and special options for service and leadership.
All incoming Honors Program students are part of the Honors Living Learning Community (LLC), housed in International Village. The first year Honors experience is characterized by four thematic areas that reflect Northeastern's distinctive areas of acaemic emphasis. The themes include:
Members of the Honors community explore these themes through course work and connections to broader opportunities on campus and beyond, including social, cultural, and community-service activities.
Applicants who have outstanding academic and extracurricular credentials may be invited to join the University Honors Program. All students who apply by the January 15 regular decision deadline are considered for admission into the Honors Program. There is no separate application. Students admitted into the Honors program are notified through their admission letter.
