DNP Admissions Requirements

The admissions requirements for the DNP program are as follows:
Admissions Criteria:
- A Master’s degree in nursing or some cases in related health field
- Current RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in the nursing field
- GPA in master’s program of 3.5
- Copies of transcripts for all previous college work
- Up-to-date resume
- Personal statement indicating applicant’s personal goals for obtaining a DNP and expectations of the program
- 3 letters of recommendation
- Interview if requested
- Applicants who do not hold national certification in one of the four APRN roles must provide evidence of the equivalent of 500 practicum hours in previous master's program
