Department of Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences Accreditation
The Physical Therapy program at Northeastern University is accredited by the Commision on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
The PT program at NU has been accredited by CAPTE since January, 1930. It is one of the oldest accredited programs in the country. Accreditation reviews occur every 10 years to ensure quality education that meets the needs of the public and the profession.
We were reaccredited on November 6, 2013 and are accredited until 2023.
CAPTE provides students and the public a place to file a complaint about a PT program that may be failing to meet its obligation to maintain compliance with CAPTE criteria.
