Experiential Education
In the College of Social Sciences & Humanities, we connect ideas to action through a wide array of experiential learning opportunities: global experience, student research, service learning, and Northeastern's signature co-op program.
Students in our college can help to curate an exhibit in a Boston area museum, do policy research for a state transportation office, or work with faculty on the ethics of human enhancement technologies. They can take a co-op position at a local social service agency one semester, and in another find themselves building a similar organization in Thailand or South Africa in the faculty-led Dialogue of Civilizations program.
These experiences will make your coursework come alive, enabling you to explore the possibilities of your major, and helping you to achieve your long-term educational and career goals.
