Financial aid applicants with demonstrated financial need and academic ability are awarded the Northeastern Grant.
Generally, the amount awarded per term is guaranteed over the course of the student’s undergraduate academic career (up to eight in-class semesters), provided that the student makes timely progress toward a degree and maintains a 2.0 grade point average.
- The Northeastern Grant does not need to be repaid.
- The eligibility of all undergraduate students who file for financial aid will be reviewed for the Northeastern Grant.
- The Northeastern Grant is not available for Graduate students.
- The Office of Student Financial Services does not provide institutional grant assistance for students in the College of Professional Studies. CPS students should visit the CPS scholarship website for information on applying for scholarships.
Funding for the Northeastern Grant is provided, in part, through the generosity of individual donors, alumni, corporations, and other resources. At any point during the academic year, you may have Northeastern Grant funds replaced by a named endowed fund. At that time you may be asked to provide a letter of thanks to the scholarship donor, the donor's heirs, or an individual or committee overseeing the administration of the fund.
