Corporate and Foundation staff members evaluate the grant-making programs of private foundations, associations and charitable trusts with the aim of matching foundation priorities with new and existing programs or projects at Northeastern University.

We provide information about Northeastern to prospective partners and assist our faculty in initiating and developing relationships with foundations.

A generous grant from The Social Science Research Council (SSRC) has made it possible for Northeastern University to leverage its international experiential learning expertise by developing programming with journalists here and abroad.  Meetings funded by the grant will bookend a trip for journalism students to report on events in the Middle East. This will enable faculty and professional journalists to work with students in Journalism, International Affairs, and Public Policy to develop publishable stories and policy briefs.  Additionally, Northeastern will present a semester-long Open Classroom series focused on America’s Engagement with the Muslim World: Investigating Traditions, Culture, and Contemporary Politics in Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria, and Egypt, which will be facilitated by Michael Dukakis, Rami Khouri, and Denis Sullivan.
