Celebrating the first graduating class of Torch Scholars – May 5, 2011
The family of Anthony Manganaro, E’67, H’08, honored the first graduating class of Torch Scholars with a special luncheon where family, friends and Northeastern staff affiliated with the Torch program celebrated their impressive accomplishments and viewed this video. The Manganaro family helped to develop, fund and launch the Torch Scholars program at Northeastern. Actor, musician and philanthropist, Todd Smith, aka LL Cool J, was the keynote speaker at the luncheon where he imparted words of inspiration and personal experience to guide the students as they set off into the real world.
Recognizing George J. Kostas, E’43, H’07
Northeastern University presented this video in September 2009 to George Kostas to thank him and his wife, Lea, for their generous support, helping to establish the George J. Kostas Nanoscale Technology and Manufacturing Research Center. This video was presented to the family of Anthony Manganaro for their unwavering support of the innovative Torch Scholars program on April 14, 2008 at the Fenway Center. Anthony, and Michelle Manganaro, and their children Todd Manganaro, BA '95, and Nicole D'Amore, L'97, helped to develop and launch the program at Northeastern University.

A Tribute to Bernie Gordon, H’07
Northeastern University presented this video to Bernie Gordon and his wife, Sophia, at the October 26, 2006 annual meeting of The Huntington Society, which honors and celebrates the university’s most generous donors. The Gordon Center for Subsurface Sensing & Imaging Systems in the College of Engineering was named in honor of the couple for their generosity. » Watch the video
