Visas & Passports
Note: This information is current as of February 2015. For updated information, please consult with your local embassy.
N.U.in Australia participants will be applying for a Non-Award Sector Temporary Visa, subclass 575. Obtaining an Australian student visa will cost approximately $535 AUD (approximately $418 USD, as of 2/23/15). As visa fees are subject to change, please check the student visa charges page for updates. We urge students to begin researching the visa process by visiting the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship website.
Important Note: To apply for the Australian student visa, N.U.in students will need their eCOE (electronic Confirmation of Enrollment) from Swinburne University of Technology. ALL required forms and documents must be submitted in order to obtain an eCOE. The earliest that students are able to apply for and be granted a visa is mid-late May, depending on eCOE processing times.
All N.U.in participants need a passport. Those who do not already have a passport should apply for one as soon as possible. US Citizens can find more information at the US Department of State passport website. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the student's scheduled program end date.
