New Student Orientation
Now that you have secured your place in the 116th entering Spring class, the next step is to attend Orientation. Orientation is a mandatory one-day program for all incoming students. You'll meet your fellow classmates, get to know campus, and learn the ins-and-outs of college life. We've got a great staff of current students who serve as Orientation Leaders throughout your program. These students will help you get acquainted with all Northeastern has to offer. You'll also meet your academic advisor, talk about your academic goals, and register for classes.A Sampling of Sessions:

Check-In Time and Location
All students should check in at Matthews Arena from 7:00-7:45am on the day of the program. Breakfast will be provided.
All guests should check in at the Curry Student Center from 7:15-8:00am on the day of the program.
For those residing on campus, you can move into your assigned housing on Thursday, January 2. Housing Services will send your housing assignment, roommate assignment, and addtional move-in information in December.
Welcome Week: January 3-10, 2014
Once on campus you will experience Welcome Week--a week dedicated to our new students in which we provide an array of academic, social, athletic, and cultural programs and a host of opportunties to explore and experience your new campus and community.
In addition to participating in New Student Orientation that precedes the start of the semester, international students are also invited to take part in a comprehensive introductory program hosted by the International Student and Scholar Institute (ISSI). Activities include cultural enrichment programming, information sessions, immigration advising, regional excursions, intercultural/diversity education seminars, and workshops on topics ranging from academic success to student life.
