Now that you have secured your place in the 116th entering fall class, the next step is to attend Orientation. Orientation is a mandatory one-day program for all incoming transfer students. You'll meet your fellow classmates, get to know campus, and learn the ins-and-outs of college life. We've got a great staff of current students who serve as Orientation Leaders throughout your program. These students will help you get acquainted with all Northeastern has to offer. You'll also meet your academic advisor, talk about your academic goals, and register for classes.
Check-In Time and Location
Student and guest check-in will be from 7:00-7:30am, in the Curry Student Center, Indoor Quad. Check-out begins at 3:00pm. Please note that the check-out time can vary upon completion of the student's academic advising.
For those who have chosen the Early Arrival option, check-in time is from 5:00-9:00pm. Students may check in at Stetson West residence hall lobby the evening prior (Wednesday) to your session.
Parents electing to arrive early to summer orientation may participate in this option as well for an additional fee. Participants receive an overnight accommodation (Wednesday-Thursday) and meal (prior to 7pm) for the night before the session. Parents may check in at West Village E residence hall lobby.
In addition to participating in New Student Orientation that precedes the start of the semester, international students are also invited to take part in a comprehensive introductory program hosted by the International Student and Scholar Institute (ISSI). Activities include cultural enrichment programming, information sessions, immigration advising, regional excursions, intercultural/diversity education seminars, and workshops on topics ranging from academic success to student life.
