As a global, experiential, research university Northeastern is built on a tradition of enagagement. Becuase of this we prioritize the development of our local networks as key relationships to sustaining the impact Northeatern University will have globally. Connecting, empowering, and fostering the development of our local community creates a symphony; together we can do more than we can apart.
In efforts to continue the engagement, networking, and empowerment of our local business community the Office of Procurement annually hosts a Supplier Networking Event. This event serves the local business community by providing tutorial business start-up sessions, showcasing market supply demands, speed business dating for commodity needs of Northeastern and supply donations to local business firms in attendance.
- We welcomed more than 355 Minority, Small and Local Businesses to the Supplier Networking Event on August 19,2015 at the Curry Student Center Ballroom.
- We look forward to hosting more than 500 Minority, Small and Local Businesses in the year of 2016.
This event focuses on small and local business empowerment but we gladly accept the support of experienced small businesses in the community who are available to showcase their best practices.
