Meditation Sessions

All are located in the Sacred Space, 203 Ell Hall

Meditation can serve as a method to familiarize ourselves with the needs of our body and mind. By improving our concentration and mindfulness we can develop positive states of mind and maintain them throughout our daily life. This practice also increases our capacity to cultivate virtues such as compassion, wisdom, and love. As students and faculty, we share the opportunity to learn both the simplicities and intricacies of meditation from the well-versed selection of student and faculty meditation-guides. The Sacred Space offers at least one meditation session each day and no experience is required. All are welcome to enjoy the benefits that come from a peaceful mind!

Please see the flier below for meditations led by Harrison Blum, the Buddhist Spiritual Advisor.

There are two student led guided meditations by Mar York!  Tuesday, 6:00 PM- 6:45PM and Thursday 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM.

Additionally, there is Bilingual (Chinese-English) Guided Stress Reduction Meditation Practice Group with Helen Du and Ann Cai, on Mondays and Wednesdays during summer session 1 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Meditation classes are free. All are welcome, including beginners. No pre-registration, participants may attend any week or every week on a walk-in basis.
Please arrive on time, so as not to disturb others’ meditation. Cushions and chairs provided.
