Northeastern participates in 2009 MassCommuter Challenge
This week, the Northeastern University community is celebrating national Bike Month by participating in the 2009 MassCommuter Challenge. Faculty, staff, and students can pledge to bike for all or part of their regular commute by choosing to pedal to the university or to public transportation.
The MassCommuter Challenge is a friendly competition among Massachusetts businesses and institutions. Northeastern will compete against institutions of similar size. Awards are granted based on: total number of participants, participation rates as a percentage of total population, and collective distances bicycled during the Challenge.
Registration is free and open to the entire Northeastern community. To participate, simply join Northeastern’s team by selecting “Northeastern” from the Employer/Institution drop down menu. http://www.kintera.org//faf/home/ccp.asp?ievent=300139&ccp=89428#
